  1. Beautiful post πŸ™‚ Love Starry Night and Van Gough in General! What a lovely GIF, so cool.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Rohan.

  2. Especially love the first Van Gogh quote. The painting is awesome, of course. You need to listen to Don McLean’s “Starry, Starry Night” tribute. It is one of my favorite songs. Thanks, BTG

  3. Funny like btg5885 when I saw the painting I immediately thought of Don McLean’s β€œStarry, Starry Night” … now I’m humming it away in my head and it will probably be there all day…
And every time I open your blog that other song springs to mind..”Beautiful Brown Eyes”…
    Beautiful, beautiful brown eyes
I’ll never love blue eyes again…

    enjoy your day……

    • AWH your so sweet!!! The irish side says it just means I am more full of shit than others!!! This is MUCH nicer compliment but if your Irish it means they like you to I guess!!!

      • I had to laugh at this…humor is big in our home. I have eyes without definition…at least that is what the term ‘hazel’ is for.
Thanks to Bulldogsturf – for naming McLean as the artist.

  4. Oh, somewhere buried deep in my tomes (when the artist came out with the song honoring Vincent Van Gogh with ‘Starry Starry Night’) I have a poem I wrote for Vincent.

I dabble in other small crafts too but enjoy words best. I posted this for a We Write Poems Prompt

Do visit and perhaps post something of your own at We Write Poems?

I love the night. The quotes you chose are inspirational. Perhaps along with your roses you can plant a ‘moon garden’ – just white flowers that will seem silver in moonlight.

I think (perhaps even before then but especially) in the 1800’s flowers spoke a unique language.
Bouquets or posys were given with the meanings of the flowers to show intent.
http://www.languageofflowers.com/ is probably just one site with definition.

    • OH Julie thanks so much for your in site AND LINKS!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Links!!! I will be visiting both links right away. I am poorly versed in the language of flower meaning But I do know the meaning of roses. Midnight gardens are a MUST have for my garden. I also have been thinking about a green flower garden. There are SO many green flowers!!! So excited thank you for your post!

  5. So cool to see Van Gough “come to life”… quite literally! πŸ˜€

  6. Van Gogh was such an amazing artist. Its a shame he never got to see his art appreciated like it is now…how freaked out do you think he’d be to see his art receiving worldwide acclaim and being made onto moving GIFs on computers that he doesn’t even understand? Haha oh wow.

    • I know! I have a saying ANYTHING can be critiqued!!! And the things we know now are based off of works of art like this that were hated when they were created. So will be judging works of art in the future based on things we hate now?

    • I’m sure his Jaw would FALL OFF!!! It’s amazing to me people did not see value in his work. As I say ANYTHING can be critiqued!!!
      Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I love how this photo is set in motion and the reminder quote to get out there and do what we think we cannot. πŸ™‚

    • IT is especially when it’s alive like this is… not this version i mean like how he painted it. The quote makes me feel better to…
